Accusations by model Michael Girgenti, who claims to have had unprotected sex with the reality TV star during the time of her breakup with Scott, have caused tension in the couple’s seven-year relationship.
Girgenti, 27, claims that their fling took place around the same time that three-year-old Mason was conceived and has written an open letter to Kourtney to warn her that he is considering legal action to enforce a
paternity test.
“Kourtney says it’s the ramblings of a crazy person,” a source told British magazine Look. “Everyone knows she and Scott have their problems and they fight a lot, but Kourtney wouldn’t lie about something as huge as this. This letter and Michael’s court battle threats have caused problems though and this is obviously the last thing they need. No one seems sure what’s going to happen next, or whether it really will get dragged to court.”
Michael claims he met the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star on a photoshoot in 2008. According to the model, they stayed in touch and slept together when 34-year-old Kourtney was on a break from on-off partner Scott in March 2009. He provided a US magazine with photographs of himself as a baby that appear to show similarities between him and Mason.
“This is Kourtney’s last chance. My next step will be to take her to court to sue her for a paternity test,” he warns in his public letter. “I’m tired of not knowing if Mason is my child, and I want the constant wondering to stop.”
Kourtney and Scott have not made a public statement regarding Girgenti’s claims.
