Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been praised for supporting critically ill babies...
Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago has publicly hailed the couple
- who will welcome their first child in early July - for their
generosity after they urged family, friends and well-wishers to make
donations to the medical centre,
close to where Kanye grew up, in favour of buying them presents for the new addition to their family.
A spokesperson for the hospital told gossip website TMZ.com: "Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for their thoughtfulness and support of the hospital. Funds donated on behalf of Kardashian and West, will be directed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Fund, which will help care for the most critically ill babies and their families. We wish them all the best in the upcoming arrival of their baby."
The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star, who will give birth at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, has warned people that the numerous baby registries that have appeared online are all fake.
The 32-year-old beauty is currently relaxing in Paris, France, with her 35-year-old boyfriend of more than one year, after flying there via private jet, from Greece, where she was on holiday with her entire family.
The couple, who are keeping the sex of their baby a secret, were spotted shopping at a number of designer stores including Givenchy, Ferragamo, Hermes, Celine and Lanvin. They also enjoyed lunch at the upmarket restaurant, L'Avenue, on Tuesday.
Kanye has been spending a lot of time in the city recently, where he is recording his new album
